Driving Without Insurance Tickets

NYC Ticket Master can help you!

Every vehicle on the road must be insured.*  New York requires that vehicles be insured by a company licensed by the NYS Department of Financial Services, and that your insurance must be issued to the same address as your vehicle’s registration.  If your insurance policy lapses, the insurance company will electronically notify the DMV and your vehicle registration will be suspended.

A conviction for driving without a license could include:

  • a traffic court fine from $100-$1500

  • a surcharge of $88-$93

  • a suspension of your driver license and vehicle registration, with a $50 fee to reinstate your license

  • If the vehicle was in an accident, a revocation of your driver license and vehicle registration for at least one year, plus a $750 civil penalty to reinstate your license

  • up to 15 days in jail

  • increased car insurance rates

*Every vehicle must have liability coverage (up to $25,000 per person, $50,000 per accident for bodily injury, $10,000 in property damage liability), or have met the requirements for “proof of financial security” as defined by New York Vehicle Code, Title 3, Article 6.
